Still life compositions


The students from St Heliers who come to me for Art, were looking at still life, in particular the work of Vincent Van Gogh. The students had to draw six objects including an orange and a lemon, colour them with pastel, cut them out and then arrange them in a composition. They then did an abstract painting using the shapes from their still life composition. Here are a few examples of their finished work.
